![]() ![]() I've just bought a refurbished Glo HD as I was looking for a new ereader after I had to retire my old Glo (which I loved, but sadly it has 3 vertical lines in the centre of the screen.). Also, what's the max storage it will accept? I'm considering springing for a 128GB microSD. I saw Kobo Glo HD manufacturer refurbs for $90 on ebay and came across a post with instructions on upgrading the internal SD card (already have 32-64GB Samsung microSD cards on hand). Kobo Aura H2O (1st ed with microSD slot) is under consideration but it's just a wee bit on the heavy side for my taste (RSI). The 32GB Kobo Aura ONE Limited is a bit pricier and bigger than I'd like, not too mention I actually do like raised bezels. The Kobo Aura is a non-starter given its low resolution/pixel density. I'm starting to look into getting a dedicated Kobo reader for reading Kobo purchased manga. Calibre's output doesn't display the image fullscreen while KCC can be overly aggressive at cropping margins. Caveat - it's a hassle to convert from kepub to mobi/azw3. I typically just convert to cbz and read on my iPad (ComicGlass) but have recently started reading manga on the Kindle PW 3. The switch was pretty much based on what platform is easiest to remove DRM from while providing the highest available image quality. I used to purchase my manga from Nook, then switched to Amazon and now have gone to Kobo. I've had a number of updates, now on 3 (I avoided the 4.8 after reading thread here).Īny ideas how to fix this or get round it other than forcing the 1.5em indent which can cause issues for text with a deliberately different indent to main body? Since exact ePub with wrong Indent on Kobo is OK on the Binatone Readme and the Calibre eReader, I suspect a Kobo update. Something has changed in either the Kobo, Calibre or LibreOffice. Obviously Calibre has two different ways of setting the indent, one of which is used for Wordprocessor source. If I convert a mobi or AZW file from Amazon, Smashwords or Gutenberg, or use an ePub from Smashwords or Gutenberg, the indent seems sensible. If I double the Point size of Indent in LibreOffice Writer, then the indent is correct on the Kobo, but x2 on everything else (approximately). If I use "remove blank lines" and forced 1.5em I get the "correct indent" on the Kobo, same as on the Binatone & Calibre eReader, the sort of size I used to get. The indent is correct converted to Mobi on Kindle DXG and correct on The indent is correct on Calibre's own PC eReader using ePub. The indent is correct on ancient Binatone ReadMe Daily (if the ePub is in the Digital Editions folder). ![]() OS: Linux Mint 18.3 with Mate Desktop and TraditionalOK themeīasically if I use original document paragraph in Calibre Conversion, I get an indent half of what it should be on the Kobo. Source: ODT format from LibreOffice writer (from distro) It's happened either since a Kobo update, a LibreOffice update or a Calibre update I'm nearly sure there must two different CSS methods for indent of first line. The first line indent of a paragraph is half size on the Kobo. I already tried logging of off my account and back on again on the reader, resetting it, opening books I have just finished before this all started but so far nothing I do seems to work.ĭid my reader give up or is it something I did/still do? Anyone out there who can help me?Įdit to add: When I connect the reader to my pc and open a book from it on the pc itself either using a reading app or Calibre it will work just fine and I can read the books. If I tap the screen again it will go back to my home and the book will be in the library under finished. I can tap on it and it will just open a blank page and nothing else happens. The problem is that the Aura will not open any book. I had to setup from the start again and that all went fine, sync also worked and putting books on it wasn't a problem either. I've been using my Kobo Auro since 2015 with no problems at all until earlier this week when it froze on me and I had to use the reset button to get it to work again. I've searched the forums but can't seem to find a solution to my problem so I hope someone can help me.
